Shuri History to Crafts
Naha Izakaya and Okinawa Bites
Yanbaru Forest and Cape HedoI am Arnaud, a French tour guide based in Okinawa for the past seven years.
Through Breizh & Ryukyu, I guide you through an island whose history, landscapes, and local ways of life deserve unhurried exploration.
In Shuri, we can trace the history of the Ryukyu Kingdom, then discover its traditional crafts along the potter alleys of Tsuboya. In Naha, the journey continues around the table: sampling local specialties in an izakaya, tasting gĆyÄ champurĆ«, or discovering awamori provides real insight into Okinawa's culture.
I speak fluent Japanese and English, making it easy to converse with locals, read menus, and ask any questions that arise during our tour. These spontaneous exchanges often give a whole new dimension to the day.
For those who prefer walking and the outdoors, we can head north to explore the Yanbaru forest, its waterfalls, and the coastal views of Cape Hedo.
