Create an accountMeet the people who actually live here, and spend a day in Tokyo the way they do.
Tokyo is the easiest city in the world to visit and one of the hardest to really see. The famous crossings, the big shrines and the observation decks are all worth it, but the moments travellers remember tend to happen one street over: a bathhouse with hand-painted tiles, a standing bar with six seats, a temple market that only opens one Sunday a month. The guides on this page live in those streets.
Every guide here is a real person with their own page, their own photos and their own way of showing the city. Some are photographers, some are sent艒 specialists, some simply know the east side better than anyone. You write to them directly, agree on a day that fits you, and pay them directly too. Ikitorii takes no commission on the time you spend together.

Asakusa and Ueno on a quiet morning, Kuramae's coffee roasters, Yanaka's wooden houses, the lantern-lit alleys behind the big stations. A local guide knows which of these fit the weather, your energy and the day of the week, and which ones to skip.
No fixed itinerary and no bus. Tell your guide what you love, whether it's food, photography, architecture, bathhouses or simply walking, and they build the day from there. Families, solo travellers and couples are all welcome, and most guides are happy to adjust on the spot.
Pick a guide whose page speaks to you and send them a message from Ikitorii. You will hear back in their own words, usually within a day. Dates, meeting point and price are agreed between the two of you. There is no booking fee and no middleman, just a local who wants to show you their Tokyo.
