IKITORII

Terms

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Ikitorii is run by Meow Arts. It lets travellers find guides who live in Japan and talk to them directly. By using Ikitorii, on the site or in the app, you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.

What Ikitorii is, and isn't

Guides on Ikitorii are independent people, not our employees. When a guide and a traveller agree on a day, that arrangement is between them: the date, the price, how and when it is paid, and what happens if plans change. Ikitorii takes no commission and is not a party to it.

We pick the guides we list and remove those who don't keep to these terms, but we can't guarantee how a day out will go. Itineraries built on Ikitorii are generated by AI: check opening hours, prices and travel times before relying on them.

Your account

You need to be at least 18 to use Ikitorii. You sign in with a link or a code sent to your email, so keep that mailbox to yourself. One account per person, in your own name.

No abuse, no exceptions

We don't tolerate any of the following, in messages, on guide pages, in testimonials or anywhere else on Ikitorii:

  • Harassment, threats, insults, or hate towards anyone.
  • Sexual content, or anything aimed at minors.
  • Spam, scams, or asking someone to pay or talk outside Ikitorii to get around these terms.
  • Sharing someone else's personal details or photos without their consent.
  • Anything illegal in Japan or where you live.

Reporting and blocking

In any conversation you can report a message or block the other person; blocked, they can no longer write to you there. Reports reach a person, who looks at them within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and so are the accounts behind it. You can also write to [email protected].

What you post

What you write and upload stays yours. You let us show it on Ikitorii and use it to present Ikitorii, for example a guide's photos on a city page. Only post what you have the right to: your own photos, and true information about yourself and what you offer.

Guides are responsible for following the rules that apply to their activity where they work.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from your profile or the app. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, usually after telling its owner why.

Responsibility

We work to keep Ikitorii running and accurate, but it is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what happens during a day arranged between a guide and a traveller, or for losses caused by relying on an itinerary. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that can't be limited.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before it applies. Questions: [email protected].
